Everything You Need to Know. Before You Get Started.
From learning the strategies and joining TradeSmart Academy to Copy Trading, membership and risk, you'll find answers to the most common questions here.
New to TradeSmart Academy?
You don't need to arrive as an experienced trader. The Academy is designed to teach you structured methods and the rules behind them.
Do I need previous trading experience?
No. The training is designed to explain the strategies step by step, including what you need to look for, the calculations or conditions involved and how the individual strategy works.
What exactly is TradeSmart Academy?
TradeSmart Academy is a trading education and training membership. Members get access to structured trading strategies, the instructions for using them and the Members Area.
The emphasis is on learning a defined process rather than simply trying to guess which way a market might move.
Will you actually teach me how the strategies work?
Yes. The public website gives you an overview of the strategies, while Academy members receive the detailed training and instructions inside the Members Area.
Do I have to trade every day?
No. A trading strategy gives you a process for deciding whether its required conditions are present. If the conditions aren't there, you don't have to force a trade.
Knowing when not to trade can be just as important as knowing when a particular setup is present.
Do I need special software or equipment?
You will need suitable access to the markets and any tools required for the particular strategy you are following. The Academy training explains the process and what you need for the strategies being taught.
You will also need an internet connection to access your online training and Members Area.
How do the trading strategies work?
Each strategy has its own method, conditions and rules. The Academy teaches you how to follow them.
Which strategies are included?
The Academy currently teaches three different strategies:
A Minus Z - a numbers-based strategy using specific market figures and a defined calculation.
Mirrored Signal Manoeuvre - a structured method with its own setup, signals and rules.
The S&P Sniper - a strategy focused on waiting for defined market conditions before deciding whether to act.
You can see an overview on the Strategies page.
Are all three strategies the same?
No. They use different methods and different market setups. That's deliberate.
What they share is the same underlying principle: learn the rules, check the market, apply the method, confirm whether the required conditions are present and then make your own decision about whether to trade.
What is A Minus Z?
A Minus Z is a rules-based strategy built around specific market figures and a calculation. You gather the figures required by the method, perform the calculation and then interpret the result using the rules taught inside the Academy.
What is Mirrored Signal Manoeuvre?
Mirrored Signal Manoeuvre is another structured trading strategy with its own setup and conditions. Members learn what information to look for and how the strategy's signals and rules are applied.
What is The S&P Sniper?
The S&P Sniper focuses on identifying the specific market conditions required by the strategy before deciding whether to act. The complete method and its rules are taught inside the Academy.
Are the complete strategies shown on the public website?
No. The public Strategies page explains what the different methods are about, but the complete instructions, rules and training are available to TradeSmart Academy members.
Does following a strategy guarantee a profitable trade?
No. No trading strategy can guarantee that an individual trade will be profitable.
The strategies provide a structured process and defined rules to follow, but markets can move unexpectedly and losses are possible.

Prefer an automated approach?
Copy Trading is different from learning and placing trades yourself. Instead, trades made by the trader you are connected to are automatically copied to your own trading account.
What is Copy Trading?
Copy Trading allows your trading account to automatically mirror trades made by another trader.
When the connected trader opens or closes a trade, the corresponding trade is copied automatically to your account according to the Copy Trading setup.
Do I need trading experience to use Copy Trading?
You don't need to learn how to place each of the copied trades yourself because the trading activity is mirrored automatically.
However, Copy Trading still involves financial risk. It is important to understand how the service works and the risks involved before committing money.
Who is SONIC?
SONIC is the Copy Trader currently featured by TradeSmart Academy. The strategy is described as Fibonacci-based and trades made through the connected account are automatically mirrored.
Current information about SONIC, including the connection process and trading information, is available on the Copy Trading page.
What does 24x amplification mean?
TradeSmart Academy currently describes a special connection arrangement that can amplify eligible deposited trading capital by 24x for the purposes of the Copy Trading setup.
The offer has specific requirements and instructions, so please read the current Copy Trading page before proceeding.
Is there a minimum deposit for the 24x offer?
The current minimum deposit stated for the TradeSmart Academy 24x connection offer is $250.
Please check the Copy Trading page for the latest requirements before making a deposit or attempting to connect.
How much does the SONIC Copy Trading connection cost?
The current SONIC arrangement has a 30% performance fee on profits. This means you keep 70% of the profits after that performance fee.
Because Copy Trading terms can change, check the Copy Trading page for the current terms before joining.
When can I withdraw my money?
The current Copy Trading information states that profits can be withdrawn at any time and deposits after 30 days.
Please check the current Copy Trading terms before depositing, as withdrawal conditions and provider terms may change.
Is Copy Trading included in the £295 Academy membership?
No. The £295 annual TradeSmart Academy membership relates to the Academy's training, strategies and Members Area.
Copy Trading is a separate service and has its own account, deposit requirements, performance fee and terms.
Does Copy Trading guarantee that I will make money?
No. Copy Trading does not guarantee profits.
The trader being copied can have profitable and losing trades, market conditions can change, and past trading results do not guarantee future performance. Your capital is at risk.
A few important things to remember.
Trading involves risk, whether you are following a strategy yourself or using Copy Trading.
Can I lose money trading?
Yes. Trading financial markets involves risk and losses are possible.
A trading strategy can give you rules and a structured process to follow, but it cannot control the market or guarantee the result of an individual trade.
Does past performance tell me what will happen in the future?
No. Historical trading results can show what happened during a particular period, but they cannot guarantee what will happen next.
Market conditions change and future results may be very different from previous results.
How much money should I trade with?
That is a personal financial decision. You should consider your own financial circumstances and the possibility of losing money before deciding how much capital to put at risk.
Never assume that a strategy or Copy Trading arrangement removes the risk involved in trading.
What if I don't understand part of a strategy?
TradeSmart Academy members can contact member support if they need help understanding the training or how the strategy instructions work.
How can I contact TradeSmart Academy?
You can use the Contact Us page or email the TradeSmart Academy support team at support@tradesmartacademy.co.uk.
