How It Works

Learn the Rules.
Follow the Strategy.

TradeSmart Academy teaches structured trading strategies with defined rules to follow. You learn what to look for, how to make the required calculations and how to determine whether the conditions for a strategy have been met.

The Basic Principle

Trading doesn't have to mean guessing

Each strategy in the Members Area is taught step by step. Rather than simply looking at a chart and deciding what you think might happen next, you learn a defined process and the conditions to look for before making a decision.

Step 1

Learn the Rules

Start with the training and learn exactly what the strategy is looking for.

Step 2

Check the Market

Look at the relevant market information and gather the figures or signals required by that strategy.

Step 3

Apply the Method

Follow the calculation or analysis taught in the training rather than relying on guesswork.

Step 4

Check the Conditions

If the conditions required by the strategy are present, you can then decide whether to act.

A Structured Approach

The rules come first

The strategies are designed around a process. Each one has its own method, but the principle is similar - you learn what information matters and what needs to happen before the strategy indicates a potential setup.

That means there may also be times when the correct action is simply to do nothing because the required conditions are not present.

  • Learn the strategy before trying to use it
  • Work through the checks in the correct order
  • Use the figures and conditions defined in the training
  • Don't force a setup when the rules aren't met
The Process
01
What am I looking for? Identify the market information required by the strategy.
02
What do I need to calculate? Follow the method taught in the strategy training.
03
Are the conditions met? Compare the result with the rules for that strategy.
04
What happens next? Follow the next step taught in the training - or leave the market alone if the setup isn't there.
A Simple Example

A Minus Z

A Minus Z is a good example of how a strategy can turn market information into a straightforward process.

One of the calculations used in the strategy involves taking one market figure away from another and then comparing the result with the rules taught in the training.

The arithmetic itself can be very simple. The important part is knowing which figures to use, when to use them and what the result means within the strategy.

And yes - using a calculator to double-check your arithmetic is absolutely fine.

This is a simplified illustration of the process rather than the complete A Minus Z strategy. Members receive the full instructions and rules within the training.
Example Calculation A Minus Z
Figure A 15,774

Figure Z 15,726
Result 48

Now compare the result with the strategy rules
Inside the Academy

Different strategies. Different methods.

A Minus Z is only one of the approaches available in the Members Area. Other strategies use their own market conditions, calculations and rules.

A Minus Z

A rules-based method using specific market figures and calculations to determine whether the strategy's conditions are present.

Mirrored Signal Manoeuvre

A separate strategy with its own setup and rules, taught step by step inside the Members Area.

The S&P Sniper

Another structured approach that teaches you what conditions to identify before considering a trade.

What You'll Need

No complicated setup required

You don't need a room full of trading screens to work through the strategies. You'll need internet access and a suitable device for accessing the markets and your TradeSmart Academy training.

Smartphone

A modern smartphone can be used for accessing the information and services required.

Laptop or Computer

Many people may find a larger screen more convenient for viewing training material, charts and market information.

Remember - trading involves risk

TradeSmart Academy provides trading education, strategies and training. A strategy does not guarantee that a trade will be profitable. Market conditions can change and losses are possible. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and you remain responsible for your own trading decisions.
